Romeo and Juliet
I really liked this lesson. It touched on just about everything I would touch on if I were teaching Romeo and Juliet. It was interactive, which I really liked. It's got a lot of information in it.
Animal Farm
This had a TON of information about the Russian Revolution and a lot of good background information to teach on the book. My main issue with this lesson is that there is so much text. It's not very interactive or interesting. But it's a good tool to use since Animal Farm is so dense with analogies and metaphors.
Commas
This was for younger grades. It introduces what a comma is and goes over the rules of using commas. There is a video that is a song that kids would enjoy. There's a quiz as well testing their knowledge. I like the interactive features of this lesson.
Word Choice
This is a very short lesson. But I liked the design of it. It talked about the importance of choosing the right words when writing. There's a portion where the students highlight good word choices in a text. Short answers are given about their personal word choices. I think it would be good to have in the classroom.
Character Development
This lesson applies character development to the student's own character. I like the use of making it relevant to the student. This lesson is interactive as well with lots of questions and opportunities to draw and illustrate what the student knows about character development.
